The author states we should hope that we never cross paths with the ‘officers’ in question. When, in fact, it should be the ‘officers’ (criminals) who hope they never cross paths with legally armed and motivated citizens.

If Larry, your assertion the most of the police are decent citizens and if you concede that most decent citizens are becoming revolted by the increased official support for the mindless thug’s increasing brutality why do you suggest that the decent majority of the police allow the brutality to continue? Could it be the same reason that the most ordinary decent citizens don’t kill or maim the thugs, because they are frightened to face up to the concerted corruption of virtually every “public servant” from your President to your local traffic warden. The US is ethically no better than most third world countries.
